Marchant Real Estate was founded in 1993 when Seabrook Marchant left a 25-year career with a large affiliate franchise to plant his entrepreneurial roots and explore a growing area of business in the Upstate—new home developments. In our early days, Marchant worked primarily with national builders and in the commercial fields with just two agents operating out of Seabrook’s home. Three decades later, the firm has seen ample growth and establishment within the tapestry of the booming real estate industry in the Greater Greenville community. Today, Marchant Real Estate has more than 35 agents, a strong history in supporting housing development projects/new construction, and a scrupulous reputation in the Upstate thanks to the ethical leadership of our Broker-in-Charge and CEO, Seabrook Marchant.

One of Seabrook’s most notable achievements in his storied career was the receipt of the Order of the Palmetto in 2020, the highest honor a civilian in the state can receive, for his work establishing LEAD (Law Enforcement Appreciation Day). Today, LEAD operates as its own 501(c)3 nonprofit organization fueled by Marchant volunteers and donors to serve thousands of men and women in uniform each year.
